At FLOOD we value wholeness and we recognize it can be overwhelming sometimes to know what steps to take in that journey. If you have a question you would like to ask a professional therapist pertaining to mental, emotional, relational health and/or you would like to receive names of specific counselors that could be helpful to you, e-mail Counseling@DIVEintoFLOOD.com. NOTE: This is a forum through which you can ask a specific question and/or be offered resources/direction that might be helpful for you, it is not on-going therapy.


Financial Core Group

Financial Peace University

 FPU is a step-by-step look at financial freedom that teaches you how to approach your debt, savings, future, giving and overall understanding of your personal finances. This is a 13-week home group where you learn via video from financial expert, Dave Ramsey, and dialogue with other Floodsters around this important topic and learnings.

Spiritual Formation Core Groups

Foundations
Description: Whether you are new in your faith journey, or you've been a Christian for years, this is a great opportunity in a group setting to learn and discuss some foundations of the Christian faith, including topics such as God, the Bible, Prayer, Trust, Forgiveness, Grace, and more!  If you're wondering how to get started or grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, this is a great place for you!
When: This group will begin Sunday, February 12th, meeting weekly on Sunday nights from 6:00-7:30pm in the Kearny High School Library through May 22nd (not meeting on holiday weekends).

Theodyssey
Description: Do you have a strong desire to know God more deeply and ache to become closer to Him?  Do you feel discontent and/or stuck in your current pursuit of being formed spiritually? If yes, then Flood's Theodyssey Core Group may be for you. Theodyssey, is an 8-month spiritual formation group offered each year at Flood. The goal is to become more like Christ for the sake of others. This process requires you to create sacrificial space in your life, both with your time and emotions, and a commitment to the 'for the sake of others' aspect. If you are interested in finding out more, email Eric Lehman.  The deadline to sign up is Aug. 28th. 
Cost: $250 (includes curriculum and retreat costs)

Description:
The Church has largely been silent on issues dealing with sexual integrity. We, at Flood, want to combat the secrecy and silence with a group that is only for guys and will deal specifically with sexual purity. If you are dealing with sexual sins and are stuck in a pattern of shame and guilt, then this group, led by a trained facilitator, is a great start! The Bible tells us to confess our sins to one another and bring our sins into the light, exposing the darkness to God 's Truth!

Sacred Sexuality Workshop

Featuring Charlie Ruce, of the Soul Care House. Charlie is a gifted speaker and therapist who uses his unique story to encourage men who have struggled with sexual integrity and desire to see lasting growth in their lives. Sacred Sexuality is about finding hope and a new future as a man of God who was made to express a healthy sexuality, free from destructive behaviors.

Core Groups + Workshops for Women

Soul Art Workshop w/ Laura Gordon and Elaine Hamilton

Tapping in to our creative selves is an incredible way to give a voice to the parts of our soul that are often silenced. Through this avenue we can process hurt, disappointments, longings, hopes, dreams, etc. We are preparing a space for just that. We are collecting lots of inspiring items such as salvaged wood, broken furniture, old frames, burlap, twine, buttons, and more to help you create your own personal expression, your own work of art. Sexual Freedom Group

Wounded...trapped...confused...embarrassed...shame...alone. Words that ring true for women struggling with pornography or sexual addiction. This group is designed to take women from woundedness to healing and freedom in a safe, confidential group setting. Post-Abortion Healing Group (12 weeks)

If you have had an abortion and are struggling with guilt, anger, shame, depression, or other symptoms, come to this confidential and safe small group to find peace and forgiveness.  Cost: Free  Contact: jniven@capsonline.org Note:  Groups launch on an as-needed basis and are scheduled around the participants' needs.

Safe People: Building Healthy Relationships

Being in a relationship with an unsafe person can be toxic and destructive leaving you with pain, confusion, and chaos. Yet, we all long for and need life-giving, mutual relationships. During these 8 weeks, you will be given time and space to explore principles outlined in Safe People, by Cloud and Townsend, process personal experiences, and integrate the gained knowledge into your own life. If you want to understand how good people get entangled in bad relationships, learn how to distinguish between safe and unsafe people, avoid unhealthy relationships, form positive ones, and become a safe person yourself. Dissecting Your FOO (Family of Origin)

Do you ever wonder why you do the things you do? We can't blame our families for everything, but we can learn more about ourselves by digging deeper into the families we grew up in. This group is designed to walk you through patterns in your family that have influenced who you are today, and equip you with tools for growth and change. A fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

AL-ANON 

To help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem of a relative or friend.

SA

SA is for those who want to stop their sexually self-destructive thinking and behavior to stop lusting and become sexually sober. 

S-ANON

S-Anon is a program of recovery for those who have been affected by someone else's sexual behavior.
